Boone Creek Golf Academy has four instructors on staff for individual or group lessons to help you with any aspect of your game including: full swing, short game, course management, golf fitness, and the mental/emotional side of the game. Our experience and technology, including the latest in video software and training aids, will help improve your game and make your time playing golf more enjoyable.

Jim Buenzli Jim has been teaching in McHenry  for 23 years and at Boone Creek since it's inception in 1996. He played golf professionally for nine years, highlighted by qualifying for the 1992 Western Open. He graduated from and played golf four years for the University of Illinois.

Mike Haase Mike is a Class A PGA Professional and has been teaching and club fitting at Boone Creek for 10 years.  He previously worked as a club fitter and club builder on the PGA Tour.  He also played golf professionally for three years after graduating from Eastern Illinois University, playing on the EIU Men’s Golf Team.

Kurt Sroka Kurt is in his fourth year as a part time instructor and is a Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Level II certified trainer. He has a degree in exercise science and sports coaching and can help you with any stability or mobility concerns you may have. He graduated from Illinois State University and played four years of golf during his college career. He is currently the assistant men's golf coach at Northern Illinois University.

Eric Oulehla Eric is starting his first year as an instructor at Boone Creek Golf Academy and has 8 years experience leading our junior golf program.  He is also working on his Class A status within the PGA of America.  Eric spent 2 years at Loras College studying Physical Training and playing for their golf team.  He led his team to its first conference title in 57 years.
